Military Veterans & Horses

Our Heroes on Horseback program at Majestic Hills Ranch works with military personnel, both active duty and veterans in rehabilitation.  They work with our horses both in the arena and out on the trail on horse handling and riding skills.  Below we have pulled together some websites and information that highlights what horses can do for our Veterans.

About Post Traumatic Stress Disorder or PTSD 

There are an estimated 460,000 veterans of just the Iraq and Afghanistan wars that suffer from PTSD.

Working with horses helps our riders with not only their core strength, but also their confidence and self esteem.

Volunteering for
​Vets with Vets

Working with horses not only helps our riders, but connecting with community volunteers adds to their enjoyment.

20% of our volunteers are usually veterans helping veterans.
Providing children (4 to under 18 years) and adults (over 18 years) with special needs the opportunity to achieve a sense of freedom, accomplishment, and self-esteem while giving their families hope through therapeutic riding and equine-assisted services.
​Our mission is to also enrich and enhance the lives of ​injured Armed Forces personnel: Active Duty and Veterans in rehabilitation.
