2014 Ride - A - Thon

MYSTERY AT MAJESTIC HILLS RANCH!

In 2014 we were able to raise over $7,000.00 towards the care of our program horses!  The riders gathered the clues to be able to figure out if it was Stuart Cat, Scout Pony, Aries Goat, Salt Sheep, Penny Hen, or Rocky Rooster that took the muffins.  Each class had a separate culprit - so even the volunteers were surprised who did it.  Thanks go out to the families (both riders and volunteers) that participated and we hope everyone had a fantastic time.

The 2014 Ride-A-Thon is the one fundraiser that we ask Riders, their Families, and our Volunteers to go out and help us collect money to support the care and upkeep of our program horses.

Last year the money raised helped up purchase the following:
  1. A 6- wheeled ATV that we use for chores around the ranch,
  2. Hay nets for our round bales (which helped the horses get through the very cold winter at a very healthy weight, according to the program's Veterinarian Dr. Bruce Viren of River Valley Vets.)
  3. Feed and Supplements for the program horses.

This year, the money will go towards not only the care of the horses, but also towards getting 2 of our instructors - Brenda and Laura - certified through PATH International.  They will join the ranks of certified instructors that already lead the classes: Molly, Jen, and Kris.

Each participant who raised at least $25.00 will receive a commemorative “2014 Majestic Hills Ranch Ride-A-Thon” t-shirt.  Additional prizes are awarded with levels of money collected.

$25.00—$74.99      Commemorative T-shirt plus a Majestic Hills Ranch Logo Water Bottle
$75.00—$149.99    All of the above, plus a Majestic Hills Ranch Lunch Tote
$150.00—$249.99  All of the above, plus a Majestic Hills Ranch Logo Baseball Hat
$250.00—$499.99  All of the above, plus a Majestic Hills Ranch Logo Fuzzy Mascot (that looks surprisingly like Apollo...)

Over $500.00          All of the above, plus a Majestic Hills Ranch Logo Hoodie

Grand Prize:
As a Grand Prize, the ranch will host a picnic for the top fundraising rider and volunteer.  The winners will be able to invite immediate family members for the luncheon and ranch festivities.  While the winners will take a trail ride around the property, family members will be given “pony” rides on select program horses so they can experience what it is like to ride in a class.

OR

For the winning rider: 1 voucher for a free riding session during the 2015 season

For the winning volunteer: An alternative prize not yet determined!!  We are working towards finding something perfect, so we will make plans once the prizes have been awarded.
